2. Dish mounting

Here is the sequence of a real installation, carried out on chemin de l'Orangerie in Antibes, with the standard Starlink kit.
Step 1: mast installation
The sky was clear above the property, with no nearby obstacles (trees or neighbouring buildings), which made it possible to fix the mast directly at this location.
Step 2: dish alignment
The dish orientation was carried out by carefully following the Starlink app, which indicates the precise angle needed to correctly capture the satellites.
Step 3: final fixing
Once the alignment was confirmed, the dish is firmly fixed to prevent any "parachute" effect in strong wind, which could shift it and cause the alignment to be lost.
Step 4: checking the power supply and router
Final check before commissioning: the power supply and router indicator lights must be lit normally (a light blinking differently signals an error that needs to be fixed before finishing the job).
Step 5: speed test
First test, carried out on the client's computer connected via Ethernet (Cat5e cable): 154.3 Mbps download, 19.6 Mbps upload, 26 ms latency (Paris test server).
Second test, carried out via the Starlink app over WiFi during setup: 177 Mbps download, 27 Mbps upload, latency of just 17 ms.
In both cases, the connection is more than sufficient for video conferencing, HD streaming on multiple devices, or online gaming.
